Debutant
There was once a time when all young ladies of the upper class were formally presented to society.
These debutantes, the daughters of wealthy families, would be introduced at a ball, a rite of passage which symbolized their entrance into adult society.
Picture the debutante ball in your mind, with the young beauties clad in white, flowing dresses, appearing before their parents escorted by a handsome young gentleman, and floating around the room in a ballroom dance.
The ball may seem a slightly antiquated tradition to some, but this drink will never date.
The Debutant’s color makes for a grown-up feel, and the champagne floated at the end gives it a modern, glamorous edge.
