Emerald Martini
In the 1980s, a drink called the “Emerald City Martini” was introduced in Drinks International magazine, as one of the martini variations that were being produced by the dozen at the time.
The drink’s base was Beefeater London dry gin, which gave it a slightly heavy feel.
Switch this to a vodka base (and not just any vodka, but the premium SKYY 90) to suit the preference for dry, plain cocktails we often see in the States, and you have yourself an Emerald Martini.
The balance between sweet and sour, and the solid grasp of the alcohol make each glass an exquisite experience.
