Green Eyes
Green Eyes blasted into fame in 1983, when it won first prize in the Long-Drink Category for the western states region at the US Bartenders Association Cocktail Competition.
The cocktail was first created by a bartender at California’s Le Premiere.
It was also named the official cocktail of the Los Angeles Olympics the following year.
The cocktail works with any type of rum, but the official recipe calls for gold rum, making the drink look like a MIDORI Colada with gold rum added.
Some people prefer it with crushed ice, while others are happy with cubed.
Either way, you’re sure to notice the extra kick the rum gives to this highball drink.
