L.A Iced Tea
In the early 1980s, a Long Island gentleman named Robert Butt created a drink which came to be known as the Long Island iced tea.
Some countries make it with four spirits – gin, vodka, rum and tequila – but others leave out the tequila.
Add triple sec, sweet and sour mix, and coke, and you’ve got yourself a drink that looks and tastes quite like iced tea.
This L.A Iced Tea is, as you can imagine, a variation on the Long Island iced tea.
Adding MIDORI and using soda instead of coke gives this drink a bright, sunny feeling reminiscent of the west coast.
It’s often used in flair bartending.
