Love Junk
The Love Junk was once named winner of Australia’s Sydney Cocktail Championship.
The word “junk” can mean, among other things, a Chinese sailboat, food that is high in calories but low in vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber, or those illicit substances that lure us into a world of psychedelic trance.
Is combining “love” with such a word to make a cocktail name some kind of black joke? The Love Junk cocktail, made with a double mix of liqueurs (green MIDORI and the clear-colored peach schnapps), became a hit in the 90s.
The acidic taste of the apple juice makes for a refreshing feel, leaving you to chill out in a pleasant state of tranquility.
