MIDORI Cranberry
A MIDORI version of the Cape Codder (vodka and cranberry juice).
The cranberry is an essential part of American culture, and has been ever since the Mayflower first docked at Cape Cod and the pilgrims used wild-grown cranberries to go with their turkey.
However, the cranberry was popular even before this in Europe, used in cranberry sauce eaten with the meat of the Helmeted Guineafowl, a fact which makes one wonder why there aren’t more cranberry cocktails of European origin.
The green MIDORI color is not very visible in this cocktail, but it is delicious nonetheless, with a pleasantly sour cranberry flavor that is easy to drink.
