MIDORI La Pomme
One of the things I truly love about making a drink is to try and make cocktails that are very simple to make yet quite complex in their overall taste.
Also there is something fascinating about using ingredients and products that are not the usual practice, which is how I came up with this little divine number.
After some trials I found that MIDORI and apple seemed to go quite well together though straight juice just lacked something on the finish so I decided to turn to sparkling apple juice or non-alcoholic cider.
Then it was important to find another ingredient that would provide the drink with body and as Cognac accompanied apple very well, this was my logical choice.
Thankfully when I combined all these ingredients together into a glass with ice, nothing was left to do except garnish.
The combination was perfect and it deserved a simple yet sophisticated name, the French name for “The Apple”.
