MIDORI Margarita

The margarita has been attributed to Tail o’ the Cock bartender John Durlesser, who was said to have created the drink as a tribute to his girlfriend in 1949.

More recent theories, however, say that we owe it to a woman named Margarita Sames, who came up with the idea for the drink at a Christmas party in 1948.

Either way, both stories name the Tail o’ the Cock as the first bar in America to serve the margarita, and the different legends behind it just make it even more fun to drink, right? This MIDORI Margarita uses MIDORI in place of Curaçao (or Cointreau), providing a fresh addition to the margarita family with the delectable flavor of succulent melon.
